From January 2026 I will be offering One-to-One Pilates Reformer sessions from my home studio in N15.
The Reformer is the most iconic piece of Pilates equipment, gaining popularity today through the proliferation of group Reformer classes. However, my own experience of Reformer work is that it takes a deep level of knowledge to be able to truly access the benefits of this technology. It's not just a question of 'adding resistance'. Private Pilates tuition offers the safest and most effective way to get the most out of this piece. Unlike regular studio Reformers, I work with a mat and tower extension to add spring work to the more stable Pilates preparatory exercises, priming the deep joint stabilisers before moving onto the more dynamic work with the Reformer carriage.
Whether you are new to Pilates, working with a particular condition, or just prefer the private tuition option, I tailor my sessions to meet your specific needs and situation. I keep detailed notes of each session so that we can map out your progress over time and use this to reflect on emerging patterns. I am open to working with clients on a weekly, monthly or ad hoc basis.
This is what you can expect from a regular hour long session:
A brief consultation on your specific needs for the week/ month/ moment
Mat-based preparatory exercises using small pieces of equipment e.g. the foam roller, hand weights, balance cushion, over ball, swiss ball.
Cadi-based work, using the spring resistance on a stable mat
Reformer work, using spring resistance on a moving carriage
Standing re-integration work
Costs
£60 per session. 10-class packages are also available.
Times
Sessions are available Monday, Wednesday and Fridays morning (10-12) and evenings (7.30pm). If your preferred time is not available, do email me and I will try to find a time that works for you.
